Founding of Double X
Double X (Originally Team 1594) was founded in 2004 by Kristin Kagetsu, a freshman, and Francesca Slade, a junior. After five successful years of competing in FIRST's Robotics Competition, the team decided to compete in FIRST's Tech Challenge, a less intensive competition. In 2012, Double X returned to FRC (now Team 4856) and currently competes at FIRST's most challenging level.
