ARE YOU INTERESTED IN JOINING DOUBLE X?
Intrigued by Double X? Interested in Joining?
Double X Robotics is the official, all-girls high school robotics team of the Brearley and Chapin Schools in Manhattan is embarking on its fourth FRC season. If you are a Brearley or Chapin student in the Upper School, and think you would be interested in joining Double X and competing in the exciting and challenging First Robotics Competition (FRC), we would be happy to talk to you!
You Don't Need Any Prior Experience
Double X prides itself on guiding team members through the entire process, whether that means learning how to use a drill or jumping in to build the chassis of the robot. The team will be holding workshops and seminars throughout the fall and winter so team members and other interested students can learn the computer programming and mechanical engineering skills needed for the six-week build season.
You'll Learn and Use a Variety of Invaluable Skills
Our team has divisions that focus on building the robot, programming the robot, organizing fundraising (online and in person), as well as publicity. On the team, you will not only have the opportunity to develop knowledge in engineering and Java computer programming, but also learn how to run a business, recruit new members, manage funds, and reach out to your community in an effective way. As a team member you may have a particular focus in the team, such as a specialization in programming, or you may choose to work on several different areas within the team.
Want More Information? Want to Join?
